The EU Commission has announced that applications are now open for the 16th edition of the REGIOSTARS awards. The awards are aimed at showcasing the impact of regional development and are open to all projects funded by cohesion policy, with entries encouraged from across Europe. If you have a project that has contributed to economic growth, social innovation and the harmonious territorial development of the Union, you can inspire regions to deliver impactful EU regional policy by showcasing your work.
This year's awards will be given in six thematic categories, which align with the Long-Term Vision for EU’s rural areas. These categories include a competitive and intelligent Europe, a green Europe, a connected Europe, a social and inclusive Europe, a Europe closer to its citizens, and the European Year of Skills 2023. By entering your project in one of these categories, you can encourage other rural communities to achieve stronger, connected, resilient and prosperous rural areas by 2030.
Applicants have until May 31, 2023, to submit their projects, and winners will be announced at the REGIOSTARS ceremony in Ostrava, Czech Republic, on November 16, 2023. An independent jury of experts will select the winners, and there will also be a public choice award.
If you have a project that contributes to the sustainable and integrated development of rural areas through local initiatives, don't hesitate to apply for the REGIOSTARS awards. The Guide for Applicants contains all the necessary information to create a winning project application profile.
