ESPON 2030 Programme: new call for tenders for European research territorial studies

ESPON, the EU-funded science programme that supports public authorities responsible for designing territorial policies, has announced 6 new calls for tenders under the ESPON 2030 Programme.

ESPON stands for the European Spatial Planning Observatory Network. The tenders cover 4 Thematic Action Plans, including climate-neutral territories, resilient places, governance of new geographies, and perspectives for all people and places.

The call on territorial governance of non-standard geographies is particularly relevant for rural areas, as it will explore emerging non-standard functional territories in terms of definitions, delimitations, development trends and ongoing hard and soft cooperation arrangements. This project could contribute to the reflection on functional rural areas.

Calls on territorialising resiliencedecentralised energy markets and affordable housing for all, can also be particularly relevant.

The deadline to submit your tenders is 17 April 2023. If you are interested in submitting a tender, you can find more information about the topics, budget, and requirements of the calls on the ESPON website.
