The Horizon Europe Work Programme 2023 of the EU Mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’ includes calls for proposals (‘topics’ in the Horizon jargon) that are particularly relevant for rural areas and communities, notably, ‘Soils in spatial planning’ or ‘Back to earth: bringing communities and citizens closer to soil’, and the first wave of Living-labs. The Mission is contributing to the implementation of the long-term vision for EU’s rural areas by increasing climate resilience in rural areas, and improving research capabilities that will benefit rural communities and territories.
Deadline for applications: 23 September 2023.
